Chelmsford College Celebrates First Place in the Planet Earth Games

Following on from Chelmsford College’s recent Clean Energy Jobs and Careers Fair, the team is celebrating an outstanding achievement after officially securing first place in this year’s Planet Earth Games, where they earned an impressive 26,020 points. This remarkable result reflects the dedication and enthusiasm shown by both learners and staff throughout the competition.

The College also saw amazing individual successes, with five members of staff placing in the national top 20! Rebecca Wells, Enrichment Administrator, achieved an incredible 2nd place, while Principal and CEO David Warnes and 3 other staff members all secured top 20 positions, showcasing the commitment across the College to sustainability.

The Planet Earth Games challenges colleges across the country to take part in a wide range of eco focused activities, from sustainable living tasks to physical wellbeing challenges. Chelmsford College’s success highlights its passion for making positive environmental choices and inspiring others to do the same.

A huge congratulations goes to everyone who contributed evidence, completed challenges and supported the College’s efforts. A special thanks is also owed to Rebecca, Halli and Tracy for their dedication, helping Chelmsford College achieve this brilliant and well deserved result.
