Financial Support
Once you have enrolled onto a course at Chelmsford College for the academic year 2024-2025 (24 hours after enrolment) you can log into your Chelmsford College account and complete an online application for bursary assistance and submit your relevant documentation to support your application.
Financial Assistance is available for those learners who are finding it difficult to commence or continue their study through financial hardship. Guidelines and eligibility can be found below.
Levels of support vary depending on individual circumstances. Applications will require information and evidence of personal circumstance. Each application is individually assessed and assistance is not an entitlement.
All assistance is subject to the availability of funds.
16-19 Bursary Fund
Please note that students returning to college in September 2024 will also need to complete a new application ONLINE once you have enrolled for academic year 2024-2025

If you are an adult learner (19+) requiring financial support, you can submit an online application form with Chelmsford College after enrolment using the guidelines provided.

Childcare
Learners under 20 years who are parents caring for their own child may be eligible for support from Care to Learn (C2L). For more information please visit www.gov.uk/care-to-learn/eligibility
If you are over 20 years, help with childcare costs may be available from the Adult Education Budget or Advanced Learner Support Funds. Please see guidance notes above and apply online after enrolment for the relevant support.
After qualification for bursary funding, childcare application forms can be obtained from the Student Support Team. (Finance Office).
