Chelmsford College | GOOD | March 2024
We are delighted to announce that in the March 2024 inspection, Ofsted graded Chelmsford College as a Good further education provider, meaning they continue their Good rating.
During the inspection, a team of 12 inspectors visited the college to gather evidence, observe classroom activities, review learners' work, and engage in conversations with learners, staff, and stakeholders. All of this was done to make a fully informed decision in accordance with the further education and skills inspection handbook.
The report praises various aspects of Chelmsford College. For instance, Ofsted concluded that learners feel secure and respond well to the high expectations set by leaders and managers. The report also focuses on the INSPIRE curriculum available for learners with additional needs, noting that the study programmes enable learners to increase their independence and become prepared for living and participating in the local community. Additionally, Ofsted acknowledged that all learners, both adult learners and 16–18-year-olds, have access to a wide range of career advice. Furthermore, the report notes that leaders and managers have a high priority placed on the health and wellbeing of staff, which means that Chelmsford College is not only an officially Good place to study but also good to have as an employer.

Dovedale Nursery | OUTSTANDING | July 2022
We were delighted that the Ofsted Early Years Inspection which took place in July 2022 judged the Nursery to be Outstanding in all categories and that the existing Ofsted Outstanding grade was maintained. The report recognised the outstanding quality of teaching as well as the well-organised, rich and varied learning environment which is well equipped with an abundant range of resources. In addition, the report praised the managers and staff as being inspirational and planning daily activities and experiences to extend children's learning in all areas.
