British Heart Foundation and Kids Inspire Selected as Chlemsford College Charities for 2026/27
Chelmsford College is pleased to announce that British Heart Foundation and Kids Inspire have been chosen as the College's charity partners for the 2026/27 academic year.
Throughout the year, staff and learners will come together to raise money and awareness for both charities through a variety of fundraising activities and events across the College. The two organisations were selected because of the important work they do and the meaningful connections they have to members of the College community.
The decision was led by learners, with the College's ChangeMakers group taking the lead in discussing potential charities and making the final selection. After considering a range of worthy causes, the group chose to support the British Heart Foundation and Kids Inspire, recognising the positive impact both charities have on the lives of individuals and families.
The British Heart Foundation funds vital research into heart and circulatory diseases, helping to improve prevention, diagnosis and treatment, while Kids Inspire provides specialist mental health and trauma recovery support for children, young people and their families.
The final decision was discussed with Principal and CEO David Warnes, who supported the learners' recommendation. Chelmsford College looks forward to working with both charities over the coming academic year and celebrating the fundraising achievements of staff and learners.
