Chelmsford College Supports Future Engineers at Westcliff High School for Girls with Green Power Car Donation
As part of Green Colleges Week, taking place from 17th-21st March, Chelmsford College has proudly donated a Green Power car and welding setup to Westcliff High School for Girls to support their DT Racing Club.
The donation provides the students with an exciting opportunity to build and race their own vehicle from nearly scratch. With this additional car, the young engineers can further develop their technical skills and compete in national race events, enhancing their hands-on experience in STEM.
This initiative aligns with Chelmsford College’s commitment to sustainability and engineering education, repurposing unused equipment while inspiring the next generation of female engineers. The Green Power project promotes innovation, teamwork, and environmental responsibility, encouraging students to explore careers in engineering and technology.
By donating these resources, Chelmsford College is proud to support aspiring young engineers at another educational institution and help foster a passion for sustainable engineering and automotive design.
