Building The Future at Chelmsford College as part of National Apprenticeship Week
Chelmsford College has three main activities as part of National Apprenticeship Week this week: a Roadshow, a Job Fair and a Pledge campaign.
The Roadshow will be promoting apprenticeships and offering free careers advice on both College campuses and as the Team visit local schools throughout 7 - 13 February.

The College will be taking part in the NEEB Maldon, Chelmsford and Uttlesford virtual Job Fair on 10 February from 11am to 1pm. You can find out more and join in here: www.chelmsford.college/jobfair
Chelmsford College will also be asking employers to pledge their commitment to apprenticeships online.
The theme for National Apprenticeship Week this year is "Build the Future". This year marked the 15th year of celebrating the benefits of apprenticeships for individuals, businesses and local communities.
Peter Mucklow, Director of Apprenticeships at the Education and Skills Funding Agency said: "Apprenticeships build skills supply now and for the future and form an important part of many organisations’ recruitment, skills and business strategies."
Chelmsford College’s Roadshow will be on tour during National Apprenticeship Week, visiting different schools each day to promote the potential of apprenticeships as a serious option to school-leavers. Fiona Byford-Smith, Information, Advice and Guidance Advisor at Chelmsford College said: "Our Apprenticeship Roadshow will help promote apprenticeships with Chelmsford College. It’s also about continuing the relationship and building the relationship with local schools. In addition we will offer drop-in sessions for students at the College. We want to make sure people fully understand what an apprenticeship is and what would be involved."
The College works with over 300 local employers and offers over 20 leading apprenticeship programmes. Every apprentice is recruited with care and Chelmsford College can provide you with free advice and help you complete all the necessary paperwork.
