Study Overview

This course covers various units to ensure you’re equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to progress in plumbing.

• Hot and cold-water supplies 
• Sanitation  
• Above-ground drainage 
• Pipework (copper, plastic, low carbon steel) 
• Plumbing science 

Core units will also include: 

• Structure of the construction industry 
• Fundamental safe working practices 
• Environmental and sustainability measures in domestic dwellings

Additional Qualifications Studied

All learners will also study a qualification in Green Skills to help prepare them for the environmental requirements that are now part of working in construction.

This has led to the addition of the CSCS/H&S certificate, L1 Energy Efficiency and Sustainability Award, and Understanding Domestic Retrofit Award to align with industry needs.
