This course is integrated into the wider study programme which includes English, Maths, Life Skills and another short qualification. The course provides a broad curriculum and helps develop study skills and future career ideas.
Upon successful completion of this study programme, learners will achieve the NOCN E3 Certificate in Preparing for Employment or Further Learning in Construction and will complete units in a range of trades.
Units covered include:

Learners will also achieve units on Preparing for Further Learning or Employment and Preparing for an Interview, as well as undertaking activities such as teamwork and problem-solving. All units develop essential knowledge, skills and behaviours that employers look for.
Progression and Employment Opportunities
After successfully completing this Construction Multi Skills programme, learners may be able to progress onto a Level 1 study programme, providing they meet the appropriate English and Maths entry criteria.
Additional Qualifications Studied
At Chelmsford College, we are dedicated to helping all our learners achieve their ambitions. We acknowledge that some of our learners may need extra support in English and/or maths to do well. You will study Life Skills and continue to study a maths and English qualification if you have not achieved a Grade 4 or Functional Skills Level 2.
We also collaborate with stakeholders, including CITB and Quantum, to enhance our construction programmes based on their feedback.
