Gateway Business and Employability Skills for Progression, Level 2

Interested in exploring the world of business and sharpening your professional skills to prepare for T Levels, Apprenticeships, or employment? This course offers the latest combination of projects and activities to get you ready. This Level 2 business enterprise course consists of three separate qualifications, along with GCSE English and Maths, as well as Life Skills, to make you highly employable in the business and professional sectors.

Study Overview

You will be part of a Business Project and complete Enrichment and Work Experience during the year of study, as well as learn the core skills for essential progression onto T Levels, Apprenticeships or employment. You will be assessed on the learning outcomes under the following Qualifications: 

Level 2 Certificate in Business: 

• Communication Skills for Work (Core) 
• Understanding Business Organisations (Core) 
• Business Project 
• Digital Marketing 

Level 2 Award In Employability Skills  

• Working in a Team 
• Digital Skills for Work 

L2 Award in Progression 

• Leadership Skills 
• Sustainability 
• Self-Management skills for work 
• Customer service skills 

We also collaborate with stakeholders, including Chelmsford City Council, to increase opportunities for learners to develop their entrepreneurial skills, such as through a Youth Innovation Event. 

Progression and Employment Opportunities

• Progression into a relevant T Level, Apprenticeship or Alternative Level 3 Qualifications (subject to GCSE Maths and English requirements) 
• This qualification also prepares you for employment into the business industry

Additional Qualifications Studied

You will study Life Skills and continue to study a maths and English qualification if you have not achieved a Grade 4 or Functional Skills Level 2.
