Is this course for me?
This short SWAP course is designed to enhance your work skills within the Barista sector, enabling you to progress to work within that particular field. The primary role of a Barista is to prepare coffee, tea, hot chocolate, smoothies, juices and to serve these drinks with exceptional quality. This course is tailored to develop your knowledge, understanding, and skills to work as a Barista. If you are interested in pursuing a career as a Barista or enjoy the daily duties involved in this profession, then this course could be an excellent fit for you.
Study Overview
During the course, learners will study a variety of accredited short qualifications. These qualifications will be assessed through multiple methods such as observation, multiple-choice question papers, and a written logbook.
In addition to acquiring all the necessary skills and knowledge required for the role of a Barista, you will also gain essential skills that will prepare you for employment. These skills include enhancing your communication and digital skills, in addition to receiving support with your CV.
Progression and Employment Opportunities
Learners who complete the SWAP programme will have the opportunity to interview for roles within the sector and gain relevant work experience if available.
This is coordinated through the JCP.
