Are you passionate about building relationships, creating opportunities, and making a real difference to the lives of young people? If so, we would love to hear from you.
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Chelmsford College for two enthusiastic, driven, and highly motivated professionals to join our team as Employer Engagement & Work Placement Officers. This is a rewarding role at the heart of our student journey, helping learners gain valuable industry experience, develop workplace skills, and take confident steps towards their future careers. Working primarily across our campuses and within the local business community, you will play a vital role in developing and nurturing employer partnerships, identifying exciting placement opportunities, and matching students with experiences that complement their studies and support their career aspirations.
This role would particularly suit someone with experience in business development, employer engagement, partnership management, recruitment, account management, or sales, who thrives on building meaningful professional relationships and achieving positive outcomes. You will be confident networking with employers, identifying opportunities, influencing stakeholders, and turning conversations into successful placement opportunities for our learners.
Beyond employer engagement, you will inspire and support students as they prepare for the world of work. From helping them build confidence and workplace readiness to ensuring they gain the most from their placement experience, you will play a key part in their personal and professional development. You will also work closely with curriculum teams, supporting stakeholder engagement activities and coordinating events that strengthen employer partnerships, enrich the student experience, and showcase the incredible talent within our College community.
This is a varied, fast-paced, and highly rewarding position offering the opportunity to:
Make a genuine impact on students' futures
Build strong partnerships with a wide range of local employers
Expand your professional network across the region
Develop your own skills within a supportive and ambitious team
Contribute to the economic growth and skills development of the local community
Strong organisational, administrative, and IT skills are essential, as you will be responsible for maintaining accurate placement records, ensuring compliance requirements are met, and managing contractual and administrative processes effectively.
A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle are required, as regular visits to employers form an important part of the role.
