| Description | We are seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Work Based Tutor in Engineering to support the delivery of our successful Engineering apprenticeship programmes. Working closely with apprentices, employers and curriculum colleagues, the successful candidate will be responsible for assessing learners’ progress and supporting apprentices to achieve their qualifications and successfully complete their End Point Assessment (EPA).
The role will involve working with Engineering apprentices both in the workplace and at College, providing coaching, guidance and assessment to ensure they develop the required knowledge, skills and behaviours. The successful candidate will support apprentices throughout their learning journey, helping them to prepare for EPA, maintain accurate records of progress and ensure learner portfolios are completed to a high standard using Smart Assessor.
We are looking for a candidate with strong industry experience within Engineering, who is passionate about developing the next generation of skilled engineers. You will have excellent communication skills, the ability to build positive relationships with apprentices and employers, and a commitment to providing an outstanding learner experience. Experience of supporting apprentices through assessment, evidence collection and End Point Assessment preparation would be highly desirable.
The College is committed to equality and diversity and to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We expect all staff to share these commitments. Starting salary will be dependent on qualifications, skills and experience. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
