If you’d like to find out about the latest jobs and training, directly from employers, this Thursday’s Jobs and Skills Fair in Chelmsford City Centre could be for you.
A group of dedicated organisations, agencies and employers are working together to bring a whole host of opportunities to Chelmsford City centre this month, at the Chelmsford Jobs and Skills Fair. The Jobs and Skills Fair will be outside Barclays Bank, Chelmsford City centre on Thursday, 21 September from 10am until 4pm. Hundreds of jobs will be on offer, along with training opportunities and free, impartial careers advice and guidance.
The Jobs and Skills Fair will give you unprecedented access to several new employers who will be moving into the area shortly and who are hoping to recruit in preparation of opening their doors. Chelmsford Education Learning and Skills Group (CELS), the group organising the Fair have run this event for the past 2 years. Last year John Lewis recruited at the Fair, ahead of opening their store at Chelmsford. This year promises to be just as popular with over 20 employers attending.
If you’re looking for careers advice, support and information CXK will have a stand and are able to provide advice through the National Careers Service. The Essex County Council NEET intervention team will also provide free information, advice and guidance and Chelmsford College will be present, with information on apprenticeships, training opportunities and further study.

Employers and training organisations have worked hard together to bring the best opportunities to the city centre within one Jobs and Skills Fair."

The event is sponsored by two main partners, DST (formerly known as IFDS) and Essex Skills Board. The Jobs and Skills Fair offers jobs, apprenticeship and training opportunities and career advice and is aimed at people looking for work.
