Planet Earth Games Chair Visits Chelmsford College to Celebrate First Place Victory

Chelmsford College continued its sustainability celebrations on the morning of the 22nd May with a special visit from Chris Broadbent, Chair of the Planet Earth Games, who arrived on campus to officially present the College with its 2026 1st Place award.

Chris met some of the learners who took part in this year’s challenges, recognising their commitment and impressive individual achievements, such as one who received the most individual points! The visit took place in the College’s much loved Secret Garden which was the perfect space as it was a spot that inspired and surrounded many of the eco focused activities completed throughout the competition.

Chris even joined in the spirit of the Games with a campus tree hug, alongside the learner who achieved the highest individual points for Chelmsford College.

The visit marks another proud moment for the College community, highlighting the teamwork and enthusiasm that made this impressive win possible. Chelmsford College continues to champion sustainability, aiming to be a driver for change within further education.
