Tub2Pub Success at Chelmsford College

Chelmsford College’s Maple Group, part of the INSPIRE department, have been busy collecting and saving plastic tubs to go towards a great cause. After the festive period, when many of us are left with empty chocolate and biscuit tubs, the group made sure lots didn’t go to waste. Chelmsford College learners have worked hard to ensure these tubs are diverted from landfill and help raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support, by taking part in the Greene King Tub2Pub campaign.

Tub2Pub Success at Chelmsford College

All tubs that have been collected are taken to a plastic reprocessing centre where they’re shredded, before being sold onto plastic manufacturers to use in place of virgin plastics. All money raised from the sale of Tub2Pub plastics will be given directly to the charity to help funds for this vital cause.

Chelmsford College would like to thank the Maple Group for their commitment to both sustainability and fundraising. Their efforts are a fantastic example of the positive impact the learners continue to make in the wider community.
