Principal and CEO David Warnes opened the event with an inspiring speech welcoming everyone. He then handed the stage to alumni guest speakers Amy Charlton and Phoebe Fuhr. Amy spoke at the first event and willingly shared her journey from Chelmsford College to now working in social care for Essex County Council. Meanwhile, Phoebe spoke at the second event and shared her full circle experience of studying at Chelmsford College to now working for them as the Executive Assistant for the Deputy Principal. The presenting of the awards then commenced with Deputy Principal Debbie Garroway presenting the curriculum area awards and Deputy Principal Debs Hurst presenting the cross-college awards.

David Warnes proudly expressed, "This is my favourite night of the year; it was brilliant celebrating the successes and achievements of our 2023-24 learners. We heard some brilliant stories of triumph over adversity that I’m sure will have a lasting impression on all who attended."
