Chelmsford College student makes a big impact in Nationwide Digital Champion Programme
Sophie Woodman, aged 24 was very proud to receive her award from CAE on Friday- coming second in a nationwide competition to find the young Digital Champions who have made the biggest impact in their college. Sophie’s entry wowed the judges and her personality, ambition and positive drive made all the difference in her selection. Rob Groves– Regional Director for CAE responsible for education in the south said “ a number of people were bowled over by Sophie and have already offered her mentoring and work experience”.
Her prize includes a Kindle PaperWhite, tickets to the Gadget Show in Birmingham and visits with and mentoring from the world’s leading ICT manufacturers with talks and demonstrations of what is possible with the latest technology.
CAE Technology are IT infrastructure specialists working with some of the worlds’ leading IT manufacturers including CISCO, Hewlett Packard and Microsoft and are recognised as a leading employer within the sector.
Sophie is a second year student who plans to achieve 3 D*’s at the end of the year and to go on to study Computer Science at Essex University. She is delighted “ I am really proud of myself getting this brilliant opportunity of working with CAE and learning new skills”.
