Study Overview

This Level 1 course, awarded by the University of the Arts London, provides learners with a broad introduction to the creative industries while developing essential employability skills. During the course, learners will build their confidence in working as part of a team and develop communication skills for the workplace, helping prepare them for future study and employment.

Learners will explore a range of creative disciplines including graphic design, digital photography, art and design, games design, fashion design and moving image. This variety allows learners to experiment with different creative processes, develop practical skills and begin to identify the areas they enjoy most. By the end of the course, learners will have gained a strong foundation in creative practice and transferable skills. This prepares them to progress onto a Level 2 qualification, where they can specialise further in either Art, Design and Fashion or Creative Media.
