This UAL Level 2 Performing and Production Arts course introduces learners to a wide range of creative techniques through experimental and personal approaches. Focusing on visual storytelling, emotion and identity, learners explore materials, processes and ideas across 2D, 3D and time-based media. Through practical projects and reflective practice, learners build the confidence, skills and contextual understanding needed to progress to Level 3 study or entry-level creative roles. This dynamic course gives learners a hands on introduction to the world of theatre production, from acting and performance to set, props and costumes. Designed to mirror the full theatre pipeline, it helps learners discover their strengths across creative and technical roles.

Study Overview

Learners will explore performance, set design, props, costume and technical production and build on their creative skills through real-world projects, live briefs and partnerships with local theatres and arts organisations. Learners will take on exciting assignments developing performance, design, and storytelling skills across key styles and themes.

The skills gained are highly transferable, preparing learners for a wide range of UAL Level 3 courses from Performing and Production Arts to Art and Design or Creative Media. with a strong foundation in storytelling, collaboration, design and creative thinking.
