This HNC course is an excellent programme with exceptional levels of achievement; it is highly respected in the construction industry and is recognised by all sectors. This course is for those that are already working within the Civil Engineering/Construction Industry and aims to give learners the skills, knowledge and understanding they need to achieve high performance in the international construction environment. 

Study Overview

You will be taught by experienced lecturers with recent industry backgrounds across a variety of sectors. The Pearson BTEC Level 4 Higher National Certificate in Civil Engineering consists of the following modules:

• Unit 1: Construction Design Project
• Unit 3: Science and Materials
• Unit 4: The Construction Environment
• Unit 8: Mathematics for Construction
• Unit 17: Civil Engineering Technology
• Unit 19: Principles of Structural Design

Plus 30 further credits from available Level 4 units to be determined by Chelmsford College.
