Study Overview
We will introduce you to each of the different design areas listed above, and you will work on guided projects to help you improve your skills and develop your ideas. You will have the opportunity to specialise in your final project and your work will be exhibited in an exhibition. Working closely with professionals in the fashion and textiles industry, you will be kept up to date with current trends. You will be taught by both traditional and digital skills ensuring you know a range of techniques to complete a job.
Visits to Galleries and Exhibitions in the past have included:
- Victoria and Albert Museum
- Kew Gardens
- Tate Modern Fashion & Textiles Museum
- Specific locations for inspirational drawing & photography
At the end of this art and design course, you will have an individual portfolio of work.
We also collaborate with stakeholders, including University of the Arts London, to continually develop our programmes by listening to feedback. From doing this, all art and design programmes are to be assessed via live briefs set by stakeholders ensuring learners meet and acknowledge industry requirements.
Progression and Employment Opportunities
The qualification will support students in developing a portfolio of work, enabling them to make applications to appropriate entry-level roles, training programmes, and apprenticeships.
This qualification will support students to progress to a range of further education and vocational courses such as the UAL Level 3 Diploma and Extended in Fashion, Textiles and Interior Design.
