This qualification is for individuals aspiring to excel in the field of beauty therapy. The course content provides a comprehensive foundation upon which to build further expertise. Study Overview

This Level 1 Beauty Therapy course is made up of the following modules:

• Health and safety
• Reception duties
• Manicure/pedicure treatments
• Make-up
• Themed face painting
• Nail art
• Introduction to the hair and beauty sector
• Art of photographic make-up (level 2)
• Working with others
• Creating an image
• Skincare

Please note that learners are expected to work on each other initially to gain practical experience before they work on paying clients in The Princes Salons. Learners complete a minimum of 30 hours work related experience. 

Progression and Employment Opportunities

This course provides an introduction to beauty therapy and after completion, learners can choose to continue with Level 2 in Beauty Therapy or Hairdressing.

Additional Qualifications Studied

You will study Life Skills and also continue to study a maths and English qualification if you have not achieved a Grade 4 for Functional Skills Level 2.
