EHCP Supported Internships to Develop Work-Based Skills

The Supported Internship programme is for you have an EHCP and want to work.

There are two supported internships: Broomfield and Moulsham.

Broomfield is in Broomfield hospital. The work placements are in hospital support services such as portering, catering and health care assistant roles.

Moulsham work placements are usually in retail and hospitality, however, other options can be discussed based on the vocational profile, current skills and placement availability.

The programme has 1 study day in College and starts with 1 day in a work placement; once you start to work independently and do not need a job coach with you all of the time, the work placement days will increase to 3. As well as developing your skills and knowledge at College, the placement allows you to experience work firsthand and makes for a valuable mention to your CV.
