"There’s always something to go on to afterwards." – Construction Apprentice

On the 20th of January, Chelmsford College had the exciting opportunity to feature in an ITV News Anglia segment regarding the recent job boom for construction workers in Essex. After London and Manchester, Essex has had the biggest increase in house building – creating many new opportunities for this generation’s construction worker. Seeing as there is a need for over 5,000 new construction workers to meet the government’s new home building targets; our students will be in very good positions to find jobs when they leave us. The students in Carpentry and Brickwork had a fun morning, featuring interviews from some of the apprentices and Des Todd, our Brickwork Instructor.
