This course is for Advanced and Creative Hair Professionals, who work in a salon as a Hair Stylists who is working without supervision. The Advanced and Creative Hair Professional course will develop your creativity, individual flair and help you deliver hair fashion forward trends.
Study Overview
- Research fashion forward trends, using the results to create, plan and promote a collection of hairstyles.
- Maintain effective and safe methods of working
- Design a range of looks to create a fashion forward collection of hair styles.
- Creatively cut hair using a variety of advanced techniques to create redesigns.
- Formulate imaginative colour conversions.
- Creatively style and dress hair.
- Provide smoothing and strengthening services.
- Carry out in depth consultations and complex analysis of the hair.

Duration: 18 months

Day release in Princes Salons
Level: Advanced (Level Three)
Start Date: September 2023
Specific Entry Requirements:
Hair Professional L2 or equivalent and either GCSEs in English and maths grades 9-4 or Functional Skills in Maths and English L2
Method of Assessment
Assessed through observations and theory tests leading to an End Point Assessments to attain the final grade.
Course Fees
If you are over the age of 19 your employer will need to make a contribution to the cost of your training. This discussion will take place between the employer and employer engagement adviser. When attending College you will be expected to cover the costs of any transport to and from College. Finally, you may also have an opportunity to attend optional trips and visits which you may need to pay for.
Additional Fees
Total cost of equipment is approximately £200. Uniform required - black tunic and black trousers.
