On Tuesday of half term last week, Damien Wager, Patisserie Chef, joined Chelmsford College to deliver a masterclass in Patisserie. 12 participants took part, including six former and one current Chelmsford College student and chefs from the County Hotel, Tesco and the Marconi Social Club.
A selection of desserts were created over the course of eight hours. Damien Wager says "This is the first in a series planned for the year. We've taken constant bookings. I enjoy the freedom of teaching exciting, evolving ideas which people are hungry to learn. As the Pastry Ambassador for Forest Produce I'll be holding a series of classes in their demo kitchen every other month. We've a lot planned for 2018, including international dates and I'm thrilled to be a contributing specialist at Chelmsford College."
Steve Critchett, Advanced Practitioner and Catering Lecturer at Chelmsford College says "It's lovely to have former students back and see their interests develop, great to work with people in industry and to work with Damien again."
